H5P Overview

Note: This article is part of the H5P collection.

H5P is an interactive activity tool that is included in our Online Learning Environment. H5P includes interactive content and activity types that promote active learning, independent practice and personalisation of learning in your subject site.

Activities can be linked directly from the site page or embedded into the learning content in Moodle.

Note: This example of a H5P Course Presentation includes fill in the blanks, video and multiple-choice question activities.

Why?

Active learning approaches allow students to:

  • Check their understanding
  • Challenge or test assumptions
  • Reflect on the concepts covered
  • Obtain individualised feedback

Digital tools, such as H5P, enable students to work through and revise the content at their own pace.

Note: H5P should not be used for formal assessment.
